The Ministry of Education (MOE), Kuwait, has developed seven (7) modern, state-of-the-art school facilities in the Al Mutla area as part of its vision to deliver advanced, sustainable, and technology-driven educational infrastructure.
To support efficient operations and enhanced learning environments, the DEOS Building Management System (BMS) and Lighting Control System were implemented across all seven schools. The solution enables centralized, intelligent control and monitoring of critical building services, ensuring optimal indoor comfort, operational reliability, and energy efficiency.
The DEOS system comprehensively manages and monitors key assets including:
Chillers
Air Handling Units (AHUs)
Classroom-level climate control
Lighting systems
Energy management
DEOS OPEN Series native BACnet controllers were deployed at the automation layer, providing precise and reliable control of HVAC and lighting systems. A centralized DEOS OPENweb BACnet-certified workstation acts as the command and monitoring center for all facilities, allowing operators to manage multiple schools seamlessly from a unified platform.
A key highlight of this project was the custom software development carried out by DEOS engineers, enabling the full integration of BMS, lighting control, and energy management into a single open system. This integrated platform delivers:
Real-time system monitoring
Intelligent alarming
Event logging and activity tracking
Actionable operational insights
The result is a scalable, future-ready smart school infrastructure, aligned with Kuwait’s sustainability goals and designed to support a safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient learning environment across all MOE campuses.
